Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has confirmed that the club have not received a late approach from Manchester United for goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer due to the uncertainty of David de Gea's future.
Following Sergio Romero's questionable performance in goal during United's 2-1 defeat to Swansea City on Sunday, there have been suggestions that manager Louis van Gaal will make a late bid for Cillessen.
However, Overmars has told De Telegraaf: "There is no contact with Manchester United. I have heard nothing from Manchester United."
Van Gaal gave Cillessen his first Netherlands cap in 2013.
