Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez could reportedly join Inter Milan within the next 48 hours.
The Chilean is open to an Old Trafford exit having hit just five goals for the club since leaving Arsenal, and United are keen to shift his significant wage packet.
Sanchez is Inter boss Antonio Conte's solution to the problem of missing out on Edin Dzeko, who has just signed a new contract at Roma.
The deal to take Sanchez to the San Siro would be a season-long loan with a purchase clause at the end of the campaign in which United would pay half of the 30-year-old's wages for the duration of the loan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sanchez would follow in the footsteps of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who joined Inter from United earlier this summer, and the pair would likely play up front together in the 3-5-2 system Conte is employing with the Nerazzurri.
