Barcelona are reportedly still interested in Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, whose contract at Old Trafford expires this summer.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick has not hidden Man United's desire to sign a new forward in the next transfer window, while Cavani is believed to have his sights set on a move to La Liga.
The 35-year-old has netted on two occasions and provided one assist in 11 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils this campaign, but he will continue to be a sporadic member of the side as he continues to struggle with injury problems.
Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that after a failed attempt to sign the Uruguayan in January, Barcelona remain interested in securing the striker's signature and will try again this summer.
With Cavani's contract set to expire at the end of this campaign, he is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club, meaning that the Catalan giants could get their first bit of business done early.
After arriving at Old Trafford in 2020, Cavani has scored 19 goals and provided seven assists in 54 appearances for the club.
