Brandon Williams admits that he is not interested in returning to Manchester United to just sit on the bench following his loan spell with Norwich City.

On-loan Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has hinted that he could look to leave the club if he is not guaranteed first-team football next season.

The full-back is currently enjoying a season at Norwich City, where he has established himself as a regular member of the first team with 23 Premier League appearances so far this term.

There is plenty of competition in his position at Old Trafford through the likes of Luke Shaw and Alex Telles, and Williams has admitted that the prospect of "just sitting on the bench" at Manchester United does not appeal to him.

"I am playing games now and I love it. I cannot wait for the weekend so I can get to the stadium. There would be no point in me going back to United and just sitting on the bench," Williams told the Daily Mail.

"I want to play, and feel I am better equipped for the Premier League after this experience. Whether it is at United or somewhere else, we will deal with that in the summer. But I have got a job to do here at Norwich."

Williams has made 50 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United during his time in the first-team squad, scoring once.
