Brentford defender Aaron Hickey is reportedly happy at the West London club amid links with Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Brentford full-back Aaron Hickey is reportedly happy at Brentford amid links with Premier League giants Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Hickey has started his second season with Brentford after joining from Italian side Bologna in July 2022 for an initial £14.4m fee.

During his first season with the club, Hickey made 26 Premier League appearances, helping the Bees achieve a top-half finish.

The 21-year-old has been a regular in Thomas Frank's side this term, starting in all six of Brentford's league matches.

Hickey has also established himself in the Scotland side, featuring in all five of their Euro 2024 qualifiers to take his total to 11 international caps.

Having impressed for club and country, Hickey has started to attract interest from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.

A recent report claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have all identified Hickey as a potential target.

With the player under contract until June 2026, it would reportedly take a bid in the region of £50m for Brentford to consider sanctioning a sale.

There is also a belief that German champions Bayern Munich are preparing to rival the three Premier League giants for Hickey's signature.

While Hickey could attract offers in the January transfer window, Football Insider are reporting that he is happy at Brentford.

The Scotland international has certainly become a more valuable asset to Brentford after Rico Henry sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Hickey's versatility has allowed Frank to move him from the right side of defence to left-back in Henry's absence.

Having been a consistent figure in the Brentford side this term, it remains to be seen whether he features in Wednesday's EFL Cup tie against Arsenal or whether Frank decides to rest him.

After suffering back-to-back defeats, the Bees are hoping to return to winning ways as they attempt to reach the last 16 for the third time in four seasons.
