Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte is "keen" to make the move to Manchester United during this summer's transfer window, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 23-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with his agent recently revealing that the midfielder is likely to leave PSG during the current market.
Manchester City and Liverpool are among the clubs said to be keen on Uruguay international, but Man United are believed to be in the driving seat when it comes to a possible deal.
Romano has said that the 20-time English champions are "keen" on Ugarte, while the South American is also open to making the switch to Erik ten Hag's side this summer.

Ugarte could join Man United this summer
"In midfield, talks are ongoing for Manuel Ugarte," Romano told CaughtOffside. "Manchester United are keen on the Uruguay international, and he's keen on the move as well.
"It depends on the clubs as Man United and PSG are in contact but not close to getting the deal done yet.
Negotiations are needed, and it could take some days as PSG insist on there being other clubs also showing a concrete interest in Ugarte."
According to le10sport, Man United have made strong progress in their pursuit of Ugarte over the last couple of days, with the Red Devils confident of winning the race for his signature.
The report claims that Ten Hag's side are willing to pay €45m (£38m) plus bonuses for Ugarte, and PSG are now carefully considering the offer, in addition to the interest from elsewhere.

Would Ugarte be a good signing for Man United?
Man United, under their new structure, are targeting young players, and central midfield is an area which the club have identified as a priority position to improve this summer.
Ugarte starred for Sporting Lisbon between 2021 and 2023 before making the move to PSG, and he featured on 37 occasions for the French giants last term, providing three assists in the process.
The defensive midfielder has also helped Uruguay reach the semi-finals of this summer's Copa America, putting in a string of excellent performances, and it is somewhat of a surprise that PSG are prepared to let him leave.
Man United are in need of another midfielder; Ugarte fits the profile, and if he can be signed for a fair price this summer, then the Uruguayan might go down as one of the best acquisitions of the summer market.
