Manchester United have reportedly identified Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski as a potential summer signing.
Last month, Lewandowski's agent revealed that the player was keen to leave Bayern in order to take on a new challenge elsewhere, although the German club have suggested that they are against a sale during the current transfer window.
Chelsea and Real Madrid both hold an interest in the Poland international, but according to France Football, United have contacted Lewandowski's representatives regarding a potential move.
Romelu Lukaku is currently regarded as first choice at United, while Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford can also be used down the middle, but it appears that Jose Mourinho wants to bring in another proven goalscorer.
In four years at the Allianz Arena, 29-year-old Lewandowski has scored 150 goals in 193 appearances in all competitions.
