Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry for Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, as they fear losing David de Gea to Real Madrid this summer.
The Red Devils are said to have made contact with the Slovenia international's agent, in the knowledge that the stopper has just one more year left to run on his current deal at the San Siro.
A report in the Daily Mail claims that Handanovic has delayed opening talks with the fallen Italian giants in the hope that a big club will make an approach, although it is suggested that the 30-year-old remains a major part of Roberto Mancini's plans.
Madrid are also thought to be interested in the experienced keeper's services should they miss out on De Gea, while United could turn to Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris.
