Manchester United 'have not made offer for Ainsley Maitland-Niles'

Manchester United have not bid for Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly not made a bid for Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

German outlet Sport1 have claimed that a deal to take Maitland-Niles to Old Trafford is '80% done', with the England international set to join the Red Devils before next week's transfer deadline.

However, according to BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have not made an offer for the 23-year-old, who has made four outings for the Gunners this term.

Maitland-Niles has played the full 90 minutes in two of Arsenal's three Premier League matches this season despite being linked with a move away from the club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur were linked with the Englishman earlier this summer but are both believed to have dropped their interest ahead of next week's deadline.

United have also allegedly been informed that Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic wants to join them on loan.
