Leeds United reportedly held off interest from Manchester United to sign RB Leipzig forward Jean-Kevin Augustin.
On Monday, the Championship outfit announced that they had secured the services of the 22-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season.
However, according to The Athletic, the striker only moved to Elland Road after rejecting the advances of Man United.
Despite the opportunity to play in the Premier League, it is claimed that Augustin's representatives were not impressed with the approach made by the Red Devils.
The report adds that United's efforts were deemed to be 'disorganised' and 'too late', leaving the attacker to link up with Marcelo Bielsa's side.
Augustin spent the first half of the campaign on a similar deal at Monaco, failing to score in his two starts and eight substitute outings in Ligue 1.
