Manchester United reportedly met with the representatives of Thomas Lemar in the past week to discuss a potential move for the Atletico Madrid attacker this summer.
Lemar has largely struggled to make his mark at Atletico since arriving from Monaco in 2018 and has failed to score or register an assist in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old could allegedly be allowed to leave the Wanda Metropolitano during this summer's transfer window, and according to ESPN, United have been in contact to discuss a potential deal.
The report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side believe that Lemar's 'left foot and creativity could be an asset' for the club during the 2020-21 campaign.
Arsenal were also linked with Lemar in January, although it is unclear whether the Gunners will attempt to secure his signature this summer.
The France international, who has been struggling with a muscular problem in recent weeks, has a contract with Diego Simeone's side until the end of the 2022-23 season.
