Manchester United are allegedly tracking Napoli midfielder Jorginho as the club look to secure a replacement for Michael Carrick.
Carrick, who last played for United on September 20 after undergoing a heart procedure, could leave at the end of the season when his current contract at Old Trafford expires.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Napoli midfielder Jorginho is being lined up by Jose Mourinho to replace the 36-year-old.
Jorginho scored in his club's 4-2 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League group stages in November, and the Italian has netted twice in 15 Serie A starts this term.
Should United make a move for the player, he would be ineligible to play in the Red Devils' Champions League last-16 tie against Sevilla.
