The Blues confirmed on Wednesday that they had made a bid for the Manchester United striker.
"We want the player," Mourinho told reporters. "We made the bid and now we have nothing more to say. Now it's up to Manchester United."
When asked if Chelsea were interested in any other players, the Portuguese added: "No."
United manager David Moyes recently insisted that Rooney was "not for sale".
