PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands has conceded that Cody Gakpo could be sold in January amid reported interest from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old was in strong form for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup, helping Louis van Gaal's side reach the quarter-finals of the competition by scoring three goals in five appearances.
Gakpo has also been in excellent form for his Dutch club this season, scoring 13 goals and registering 17 assists in 24 appearances in all competitions.
The Dutchman has a contract with PSV until the summer of 2026, but he is currently being heavily linked with a move away from the club.
Brands has admitted that there is a chance that Gakpo could be on the move during the January market.

"You have to be realistic. If you talk about Cody Gakpo and the price tag attached to him, there may be 10 to 12 clubs in Europe that can afford him," Brands told Eeuwig Trouw.
"Amounts have not been discussed, but if the right club comes that Cody would like to go. Those agreements were already made before I came. It must be a record transfer for PSV anyway. Then you know in which direction it should go.
"In the media it seems like all the clubs are lining up, but the reality is that we don't know anything about interest or anything yet. It's quiet. I've spoken to Cody, he's going on vacation for 10 days. If something is at play, it is perhaps known to Cody or his management, but not to us yet."
Man United head coach Erik ten Hag recently confirmed that his club will be looking to sign a new forward during the January transfer window due to Cristiano Ronaldo's recent exit.

"Yes, but only when we find the right player. We do everything in our power," the Manchester Evening News quoted Ten Hag as saying when asked whether a new striker would arrive next month.
"We are doing research on every opportunity and we do everything we can if that opportunity is there to contract them."
Man United held talks with Gakpo over the summer, but the club ultimately decided to focus their attention on bringing Brazilian attacker Antony to Old Trafford from Ajax.
Gakpo, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Real Madrid, has scored 55 goals and registered 50 assists in 159 appearances for PSV in all competitions.
As it stands, PSV's record sale is Hirving Lozano to Napoli, with the Mexico international moving to the Italian outfit in the summer of 2019 for a fee in the region of €45m (£38.6m)
