PSV Eindhoven rubbish Jetro Willems to Manchester United talk

PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands rejects claims that Manchester United are ready to sign Jetro Willems in January.

PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands has moved to deny reports that Manchester United are to sign Jetro Willems in January.

The Premier League side are looking for cover at left-back after Luke Shaw suffered a broken leg, and it has been suggested that United are ready to pay up to €20m (£14.48m) for the Dutchman.

However, Brands told Dutch outlet Metro that the talks are "nonsense" and that they are still hoping the 21-year-old will sign a contract extension with the club.

Willems played 41 times for the Dutch champions last season, scoring three goals and creating 12 assists.
