Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has reportedly advised Manchester United to secure a deal for RB Leipzig playmaker Christopher Nkunku.
Rangnick will almost certainly move to a behind-the-scenes role during the summer, leaving United to appoint a permanent replacement to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, it has been evident for some time that the Premier League giants need to undergo a squad overhaul, something which Rangnick will be expected to assist with regardless of his job at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Star, the German wants United to hold negotiations with his former club RB Leipzig regarding the addition of Nkunku.
The 24-year-old has been in sensational form throughout this season, contributing 21 goals and eight assists from appearances in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
The report adds that Nkunku possesses a £62m release clause in his contract, an option which will need to be activated with Leipzig firmly against losing their star man while he has two years left on his contract.
