Manchester United are reportedly willing to let Marcus Rashford leave on loan in January but will not sanction a move to a Premier League club.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to let Marcus Rashford leave on loan during the January transfer window, but the Red Devils will refuse to let him move to another Premier League club.

Rashford was left out of the squad for the Manchester derby last weekend before telling journalist Henry Winter that he was looking to leave the 20-time English champions in search of a new challenge.

The 27-year-old was again absent against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup on Thursday night, and it remains to be seen whether he will be recalled for Sunday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim has insisted that he wants to keep hold of Rashford, but it is believed that the club are working towards a January exit due to the tension that now exists between the two parties.

According to The Sun, Man United are willing to sanction a loan deal in the winter market, but the club will outright refuse to let him make the move to another Premier League club amid suggestions of interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Man United 'will not allow Rashford to join another English club'

The report claims that several clubs in Spain, France and Germany are keen on Rashford, while there is also believed to be firm interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Paris Saint-Germain are still regarded as the favourites, but it has been claimed that Atletico Madrid are lining up a loan move, with Diego Simeone's side very much in the La Liga title race at this stage of the campaign.

Rashford has scored seven times and registered three assists in 24 appearances for Man United this season, with his Premier League record standing at four goals and one assist in 15 Premier League matches.

The forward has 138 goals and 63 assists in 426 appearances for the Red Devils, and he has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2028, with his wages, which are in excess of £300,000 a week, making a departure even more difficult.

Will Rashford be involved against Bournemouth?

Rashford is actually the all-time leading goalscorer in matches between Man United and Bournemouth, scoring five times in the fixture, but it is far from certain that he will be recalled for the contest with the Cherries.

"Tomorrow (Friday) we have training, he will be there preparing for next game. He is a United player, everyone has a future at Man United," Amorim told reporters when questioned on the forward after the defeat to Tottenham.

The Man United head coach also insisted that he does not regret his decision to leave Rashford out for a second game in a row.

"No, it is not [a mistake]. I feel that I do the right thing for the team so it's never a mistake," said the manager.

"We have to make a selection, sometimes you lack in the game and you see some guys go into the game and change it a bit but I don't think it was a mistake because I'm always doing the best for the team in my way of seeing things."

Alejandro Garnacho was also left out of the squad for the Manchester derby, but the Argentina international was back in the squad against Tottenham and featured as a second-half substitute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
