Real Madrid have reportedly identified Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt as a potential signing.
De Ligt has emerged as one of the top young players in European football, and each of Barcelona and Manchester United are said to be keen on securing the signature of the 19-year-old.
However, according to reports in Spain, Real are now ready to move for De Ligt due to doubts over the future of Sergio Ramos.
The long-serving Spaniard has been linked with a switch to China, leaving Real in a position where they must consider potential long-term replacements for the 33-year-old.
The report suggests that Ajax may demand up to £90m for De Ligt, although Real boss Zinedine Zidane is allegedly being handed a big budget for the summer transfer window.
De Ligt has indicated that he may remain at Ajax for at least another season.
