Juan Mata will reportedly undertake his medical on Friday morning ahead of his proposed £37m move to Manchester United.
The Chelsea playmaker was expected to undergo the procedure on Thursday ahead of an official signing on Friday, but the Spaniard will now run through the five-hour medical 24 hours later than originally scheduled, according to The Mirror.
It is unclear whether the change of date is likely to delay the transfer, but the developments have not put the move in doubt.
Meanwhile, the Blues have lined up Basel winger Mohamed Salah as Mata's replacement.
