Ronald Koeman is desperately trying to convince Juan Mata to leave Manchester United and join his Everton revolution, according to a report.
The 28-year-old is said to be in limbo following the arrival of Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, having been sold by the Portuguese while together at Chelsea in 2014.
It is claimed by The Telegraph that Everton will be the first to pounce for the Spain international, who was deemed too slow to be a part of Mourinho's Chelsea side during his second coming at the club.
Mata was not included in Spain's Euro 2016 squad, giving him a chance to focus solely on his club future, with the same report suggesting that a bid in the region of £20m could potentially be enough to land his signature.
Koeman, who managed Mata during his six months in charge of Valencia, swapped Southampton for Everton last month on a three-year deal.
