Manchester United are reportedly prepared to battle it out with Liverpool for the signing of Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo.
The Reds have been tipped to trigger the £45m release clause in the 22-year-old's contract.
Liverpool's fierce rivals Man United are also in the market for a new left-sided defender, meanwhile, and Marca suggests that the two Premier League clubs are going head-to-head for Firpo.
Betis will be powerless to stopping the Spain Under-21s international from leaving Benito Villamarin should his release clause be met, but they will not allow him to leave for anything less.
Firpo was used 29 times in all competitions last season and has also featured for Spain at the European Under-21 Championship in Poland.
