Manchester United are reportedly putting their energy into trying to seal the signature of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal after agreeing a deal with Real Madrid for Angel di Maria.
The former Premier League champions have been linked with Vidal for some time, but speculation cooled after Juventus claimed that talks have not been held between the two clubs.
Previous reports suggested that United manager Louis van Gaal was reluctant to go through with the move due to Vidal's recent knee injury, but the Dutchman admitted at the weekend that he is an admirer of the Chile international.
According to ESPN, United want to conclude a deal before the close of the transfer window in six days' time, and Vidal is believed to be keen on moving to Old Trafford.
Reports have claimed that Juventus have slapped a £45m price tag on the 27-year-old midfielder.
