Manchester United are reportedly planning to table a bid for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
David Moyes's side are the frontrunners to secure the services of the sought-after Argentina international, according to The Mirror.
United are thought to be aiming to agree a fee for the centre-back before this summer's World Cup finals, with Manchester City and Zenit St Petersburg also said to be monitoring the situation.
Garay reportedly has a release clause of around £17m in his contract, but the Red Devils are apparently hoping to land him for a cut price, as there is one year remaining on his existing deal.
