Angelo Henriquez has joined Wigan Athletic from Manchester United on loan.
The Chilean striker will link up with the Latics for the remainder of the current campaign, with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson keen for the player to gain some Premier League experience.
Roberto Martinez was eager to acquire the services of the 18-year-old with Wigan preparing to lose Arouna Kone to the Africa Cup of Nations later this month.
The forward, who joined the Red Devils from Universidad de Chile in the summer, netted a debut goal in his only cap for the national team in November 2012.
Henriquez will wear the number 11 shirt at the DW Stadium.
