Ian Wright warns Romelu Lukaku off Manchester United move

Ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright tells Everton's Romelu Lukaku to turn down a move to Manchester United and instead seek a transfer to Real Madrid.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has told Everton striker Romelu Lukaku to ignore reported interest from Manchester United.

Lukaku, 22, has been in fine form for his Merseyside club this season, hitting 15 goals in 19 Premier League appearances and 19 strikes in all competitions.

Man United have been strongly linked with a move for the Belgian international in recent weeks, but Wright has claimed that the Red Devils' current troubles would make it difficult for the powerful striker to make an immediate impact.

"Manchester United would not be attractive to him at the moment because of the turmoil they are in. Because he would have to go there with a massive price tag on him and he'll have to do it and whether he can do that is a different story, with the pressure on Man United," Wright told The Sun.

"If you go to Real Madrid then you have the experience of going there, even if it doesn't go well and you can come back to Manchester United. There is too much pressure there when they are like this, there is too much pressure when they aren't winning. With the pressure they are under for not winning, they are not attractive."

Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the former Chelsea youngster.
