Didier Deschamps admits that there is only a small chance his Marseille side can progress in the Champions League after defeat to Bayern Munich in France.

Marseille manager Didier Deschamps has revealed that he is still hopeful of progression in the Champions League despite defeat in the first leg of their quarter-final against Bayern Munich.

The 2-0 loss at Stadio Velodrome means that Marseille must score three goals without reply in Munich to reach the semi-finals.

Deschamps said: "There's still a chance we can go through, but it's a tiny one.

"We're not in the best position and we know Bayern are very strong at home. Players of that quality always punish you.

Marseille have now lost eight of their last nine games.
