Middlesbrough extend their unbeaten run at home to 16 games by drawing with Blackpool this afternoon.

Middlesbrough extended their unbeaten run at the Riverside to 16 games as they shared the spoils with Blackpool this afternoon.

Scott McDonald's third and fourth goals of the season were not enough as Blackpool twice pegged back the home side within five minutes of scoring.

The Scottish forward put Boro ahead after a quarter of an hour with a headed effort before Ludovic Sylvestre equalised.

Boro's lead was restored in the 73rd minute through McDonald before the Seasiders again levelled through in-form Jonjo Shelvey.

The point sees Boro remain third while Blackpool drop out of the playoffs to seventh.
