Middlesbrough have reportedly had an offer for Martyn Waghorn accepted by Ipswich Town.
The 28-year-old scored 16 goals in 44 appearances in the Championship last season and has been valued by the Tractor Boys at around £8m to 10m.
According to Sky Sports News, talks over personal terms can now begin, with Boro keen to have Waghorn available in time for their match against Sheffield United on Tuesday.
The report also states that Derby County were hoping to snap up the forward, but had to raise funds in order to comply with Financial Fair Play Regulations and could not offload Matej Vydra to Leeds United after the two parties failed to agree personal terms.
Waghorn played no part in Ipswich's opening Championship game of the season on Saturday, a 2-2 draw at Portman Road against Blackburn Rovers.
