Mike Ashley will offer Newcastle United's non-playing staff a £1m bonus if they can beat Arsenal today, according to a report.

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has reportedly offered the club's non-playing staff a £1m bonus if they can beat Arsenal today.

The Magpies can still finish as high as 10th in the Premier League, and while the players will receive no extra incentive, the whole club is motivated to beat Arsenal, possibly stopping them from finishing in the top four.

The difference between finishing 17th and 10th will be around £5m for Newcastle and, according to the Daily Mail, Ashley is planning to share the extra money with all of the club's non-playing staff.

Newcastle are currently in 13th place and after a difficult period, with heavy home losses to Sunderland and Liverpool, Alan Pardew's men will hope that they can finish the season in style.
