Newcastle United have confirmed that the club have appealed against the red card shown to Loic Remy in Tuesday night's draw with Norwich City.

The French striker was dismissed in the 82nd minute after clashing with Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson, who was also sent off following the altercation at Carrow Road.
