Newcastle boss Alan Pardew admits that his side are expected to beat Swansea City at St James' Park this weekend.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that his team is under pressure to win against Swansea City at St James' Park on Saturday.

The Magpies will be looking bounce back in front of their home fans this weekend following their recent 1-0 loss to West Ham United.

"It's a tough test for us because we are going to have a stadium that will expect us to win and Swansea keep the ball really well," Pardew told reporters.

"Our fans are going to have to be patient and understand it's a difficult game and one where they will come to frustrate us, but it's important that we give our fans some entertainment that will lift them."

Newcastle's defeat last weekend saw them slip down to 10th place in the Premier League table.
