Hatem Ben Arfa has travelled to France in order to undergo a medical with Nice ahead of a proposed move to the Ligue 1 side.
The Newcastle United midfielder had joined Hull City on a season-long loan in the summer, but he was sent back to St James' Park early after failing to secure a regular first-team place at the KC Stadium.
The French side confirmed on their website: "OGC Nice have reached an agreement in principle with Hatem Ben Arfa. The France international will have a medical on Monday prior to signing with Le Gym."
Ben Arfa, who has 13 caps for the French national side, trained with the Nice squad this morning.
