Newcastle United are weighing up a January bid for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, according to a report.
The Magpies have already swooped for one of the south coast side's stars this year, having taken midfielder Matt Ritchie during the summer for a fee of around £12m.
The Chronicle claims that Newcastle are hoping to lure Wilson - who has 31 goals in 74 games for the Cherries - to St James' Park in the New Year, as he fits the bill of the type of player they are desperate to recruit.
It is suggested that the 24-year-old may be tempted to make the switch should a formal offer be made, following in the footsteps of Ritchie who was happy to drop down a division with the intention of making an instant return to the top flight.
Newcastle are currently well on course to earning promotion, sitting nine points clear off third-placed Reading with 17 games played, while Bournemouth are 10th in the Premier League.
