Emile Heskey has revealed that he is "raring to go" after arriving in Australia to begin his Newcastle Jets career.
The England international has signed a one-year deal with the A-League side and claimed that he has been given advice by former Perth Glory striker Robbie Fowler.
Heskey told the club's website: "It was a bit of a long flight, but I'm finally here and I'm raring to go.
"I spoke to Robbie Fowler and he's told me a lot about the league and everything as well.
"I'm just raring to go really. I'm looking forward to meeting the lads, having a bit of a training run with them and seeing how things go."
The Jets have been forced to order more shirts with Heskey's name printed on them after the overwhelming response from supporters.
