UEFA president Michel Platini has revealed that he will wait until after next year's World Cup on whether to run for the head of FIFA.
The 58-year-old has admitted that it would be "heartbreaking" to leave the European governing body, but has not ruled out putting himself forward for the FIFA presidency.
"I will take my decision during or after the FIFA World Cup and not before," BBC Sport quotes Platini as saying.
"I deeply love UEFA and it would be heartbreaking to choose another path but at the same time the question continuously crops up and it is a legitimate one."
Platini was speaking at a meeting of European associations in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
