Jonny Howson: International break "comes at a bad time"

Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson bemoans the timing of the current international break.

Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has conceded that the ongoing international has come "at a bad time" for him on a personal level.

Following his recovery from a knee injury, Howson made his first start of the season at the weekend during the 1-1 draw with Rotherham United.

However, he will now have to wait until October 19 before he can feature for the Canaries again.

"For me the games can't come quickly enough and the break probably comes at a bad time, but I'm just pleased I'm back involved," he told the Eastern Daily Press.

"We've got a couple of weeks off now and I suppose for me, I'm just happy to be back out there whether it's on the training pitch or at Carrow Road."

The 26-year-old joined Norwich from Leeds United in 2012.
