Two Nottingham Forest goals in five minutes managed to seal a win over League Two York City.
Jamie Mackie and Simon Cox responded quickly by producing two quick-fire goals just after conceding in the 51st minute thanks to York's Tom Platt.
Both teams started the game fairly evenly taking the game into half time all square, but it was only six minutes after the restart when the game came to life as Platt finished inside the area to make it 1-0 to the Minstermen.
York were only in the lead for 30 seconds as Mackie levelled it up for the visitors by scoring from close range.
Forest then doubled their lead as Cox collected a ball from Mackie to slot it into the back of the net from six yards out.
Cox and Mackie continued to cause trouble with some attractive link-up play with only goalkeeper Michael Ingham stopping the duo.
Forest saw out the rest of the game, taking away a 2-1 victory over York City in their pre-season friendly at Bootham Crescent.
