Report: Nottingham Forest to launch £8m Jordan Rhodes move

Reports suggest that Nottingham Forest will make an £8m bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes in January.

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has reportedly given the green light for an £8m move for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.

The 23-year-old commanded the same fee when he arrived at Ewood Park from Huddersfield Town last year, and has since scored 39 goals in 69 appearances for the Lancashire club.

According to talkSPORT, Forest boss Billy Davies will be trusted with the chequebook in January as he plots promotion into the Premier League, and has identified the Scottish international as his top target.

The Tricky Trees are eighth in the Championship, three points off a playoff spot and 10 off the top.

However, Rovers are unlikely to want to do business.
