Simon Grayson frustrated with "dropped points"

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson believes that his side have dropped four points this week after witnessing his team draw 2-2 with Port Vale.

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson has admitted that he is frustrated with his team's failure to see out a match for the second time in the space of a week.

The League One promotion chasers conceded a late penalty to draw 2-2 at Port Vale on Friday night, just three days after they had been denied three points against Gillingham, and Grayson believes that the four points they have dropped were avoidable.

The 45-year-old told BBC Radio Lancashire: "Two points dropped again, just as we did on Tuesday night. And, in the last 10 minutes, it looked like we were the team with 10 men and they'd got 11, which is frustrating.

"Both penalties we conceded were avoidable and that's now four points dropped this week. But, as difficult as that is to accept right now, our destiny is still in our own hands. If we win the next three, we're promoted."

Preston currently sit four points ahead of MK Dons, who have a game in hand against Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon.
