Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Club Brugge.

Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League opener with Club Brugge on Wednesday could mark the very first time that Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar all start together in navy blue.

Mbappe led the line against Clermont on Saturday and scored his customary goal, but he was flanked by Julian Draxler and Rafinha as Messi and Neymar returned late from international duty.

Angel Di Maria was another South American to miss the 4-0 thrashing of the newly-promoted side at the weekend, but with the winger suspended for this fixture, the stage is set for Messi to make his first start for the club.

Idrissa Gueye is also on the naughty step after seeing red against Manchester City in last year's semi-finals, while Marco Verratti is not expected to return from a knee injury just yet.

As a result, Georginio Wijnaldum should be recalled to the engine room alongside Danilo Pereira and Ander Herrera, with the latter netting twice against Clermont during an impressive display.

Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa are still recovering from injuries, but there could be a change at left-back regardless, with Nuno Mendes eyeing his full debut for the club over Abdou Diallo.

Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe will continue in the heart of defence as Sergio Ramos remains out of contention, while Gianluigi Donnarumma may drop out for the returning Keylor Navas in goal.

PSG possible starting lineup: Navas; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Pereira, Herrera, Wijnaldum; Messi, Mbappe, Neymar
