Laurent Blanc: 'Paris Saint-Germain out to dominate 2014'

Laurent Blanc says that champions Paris Saint-Germain plan on widespread success in 2014 after destroying Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Laurent Blanc has fired a warning shot to rivals by insisting that Paris Saint-Germain are out for success on all fronts in 2014.

Having already progressed to Champions League knockout stages, the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals and the last 32 of the Coupe de France, defending French champions PSG now sit five points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table thanks to a 5-0 slaughtering of Nantes on Sunday.

"It was a very positive evening," Blanc told the club's official website. "We dominated every facet of the match, offensively and defensively. I am very satisfied, for the individuals but also for the team as a whole.

"It bodes well for the rest of the championship and it also proves that we worked well during the Qatar Winter Tour. We attack 2014 with a lot of ambition in order to reach our objectives."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice during the win at the Parc des Princes, with Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta and Edinson Cavani grabbing a goal each.
