Javier Pastore: 'Monaco form is unimportant'

Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore urges his side to focus on their own performances, rather than those of their title rivals.

Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore has insisted that the form of title rival Moncaco is unimportant.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 victory over Nice on Saturday at the Parc des Princes.

The win took them four points clear of second-placed Lille and five ahead of Monaco, but Pastore wants his side to only focus on their points tally as they look to maintain their form.

"Monaco aren't important, the most important thing is to keep playing like we did (against Nice), to win and to score a lot of goals," the Argentine told reporters.

"I think the outcome [for the season] will be dependent on our performances."

PSG travel to Reims for their next Ligue 1 clash.
