Rangers director Paul Murray has said that a new manager should be appointed this week.
Speaking to the North American Rangers Supporters Association, he revealed that they expect to unveil their new manager on Friday.
Former Brentford manager Mark Warburton is favourite to take the job, with ex-Ibrox favourite Alex McLeish and current boss Stuart McCall also believed to be in consideration.
Rangers failed in their promotion bid to the Scottish Premiership this season after losing to Motherwell in the playoff final.
