Reading's Nigel Adkins plays down West Bromwich Albion reports

Nigel Adkins says that he has no plan to leave Reading and become the new manager of West Bromwich Albion.

Reading manager Nigel Adkins has said that he is not interested in becoming the new West Bromwich Albion boss.

Bookmakers have recently slashed the odds on the 48-year-old taking charge of the Premier League outfit.

"The bookmakers are covering themselves and this has come out of the blue," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"West Brom don't have a manager but all my focus is to try and improve Reading. All the energy and focus is to us."

Reading suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion away from home in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
