Paris Saint-Germain confirm that Sergio Ramos is unavailable to face Real Madrid for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday due to injury.

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Sergio Ramos is unavailable to face his former club Real Madrid for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

The Ligue 1 outfit play host to the 13-time European champions at the Parc des Princes, but 35-year-old Ramos will not feature for Mauricio Pochettino's side in midweek.

PSG released a statement on their official website, which read: "Sergio Ramos will continue to train on his own following his calf injury. A further update will be provided in a weeks' time."

Since moving from the Santiago Bernabeu to Paris on a free transfer last summer, Ramos has been restricted to just five games across all competitions this season due to injury.

The Spanish centre-back has been suffering with a niggling calf problem all season and his latest setback will now see him sidelined for PSG's important European knockout tie.

PSG forward Neymar, who has been ruled out since November with an ankle injury, is doubtful, while midfielder Ander Herrera will also be assessed ahead of kickoff to see if he has recovered from a thigh problem.
