Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo is now benefiting from the increased pace of Real Madrid's attacking display, after the winger scored in the 3-0 victory over Eibar.
The goal is Portuguese's seventh in under a week, as he put five past Granada on Sunday and scored his other in the 2-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in midweek.
Ancelotti believes that the 30-year-old is now utilising the speed of the team's attacks to give him more options in front of goal, but suspects that the high number of games may take its toll on the forward.
"Ronaldo is really enjoying the play because the team is now playing with more speed, and that gives him more chances in front of goal," Ancelotti told reporters.
"The team's improved and we are making more opportunities. I had thought about giving Cristiano Ronaldo a rest, but I thought he had recovered well after Wednesday's game. He is always eager to play and to score. That is what makes the difference with other strikers."
Ronaldo's opener against Eibar also ended his own personal streak of going 56 games without scoring from a free kick.
