Preview: Getafe vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole previews the La Liga fixture between Getafe and Real Madrid.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that his side can start an improved run of form when they travel to Getafe on Sunday.

Despite sitting at the top of the La Liga table, Real have been inconsistent since their return from the Club World Cup, having been eliminated from the Copa del Rey by rivals Atletico Madrid.

After being humbled on Thursday night, Ancelotti could freshen up his team against the Azulones, with Raphael Varane and Sami Khedira in contention to come into the starting lineup.

Iker Casillas is likely to return in goal, but defender Fabio Coentrao is suspended after his dismissal against Espanyol last weekend, while Luka Modric and Pepe are sidelined through injury.

Getafe secured a morale-boosting victory over Almeria in the Copa del Rey in midweek, but there are concerns regarding their league form with their current winless streak reaching eight games.

However, despite several changes leading to the success over Almeria, coach Quique Flores is likely to recall many of the side that lost at Eibar last weekend.

Striker Alvaro Vasquez, who came off the bench to net the winner in midweek, should start while winger Pedro Leon will play against his former club.

Getafe:

Form in La Liga: LDDDLL
Form in all competitions: WDLDLW

Possible starting lineup: Codina, Juan Valera, Alexis, Roberto Lago, Naldo, Velazquez, Juan Rodriguez, Pedro Leon, Sammir, Hinestroza, Alvaro Vazquez

Real Madrid:

Form in La Liga: WWWWLW
Form in all competitions: WWLLWD

Possible starting lineup: Casillas; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Kroos, Khedira, James; Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale

Sports Mole says: 1-4
