Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has denied claims in China that he could sign for Guangzhou Evergrande in a swap deal for Zhang Linpeng.
Guangzhou owner Xu Jiayin was in Madrid last Saturday, with reports suggesting that a loan swap deal for the two players was being discussed ahead of the January transfer window. Carvajal has rejected such speculation, however.
"I have read those reports and my first reaction to laugh," he told AS. "It's a funny story, but not true.
"This is my home and I'm very happy here. I hope Danilo recovers soon because he will bring many things to our side. The manager trusts in me now and I am trying to respond to that confidence with good performances."
China international Zhang is said to have come close to signing for Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer, with the deal reported to have collapsed due to work permit issues late on in the transfer window.
