Celtic are interested in taking Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard on loan next season, according to reports.
The 16-year-old played under Celtic manager Ronny Deila at Norwegian club Stromsgodset, and Real Madrid may be planning to send him out on loan to gain experience.
"I haven't heard [Odegaard's] situation had changed, but if it's true he's going to be loaned out, then we will check and see what is possible," Deila told The Scotsman.
"It's more interesting to have players we own or have a buy-in option. They have to be very, very good like Jason Denayer, if we are to take them on loan without that buy-in agreement."
Odegaard became the youngest player to play for the Norwegian national team at the age of 15 years and 253 days and joined Real Madrid in January.
