Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly asks scouts to assess the development of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, brother of Jude Bellingham.

Real Madrid scouts have reportedly been asked to assess the capabilities of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.

After a drawn-out transfer saga, the Spanish giants won the race to secure the signature of Jude Bellingham - Jobe's elder sibling - from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The 20-year-old has since gone on to star for Los Blancos, contributing 10 goals and three assists from his 10 appearances in all competitions.

Jude has settled quicker than many may have anticipated, being used at the front of a diamond formation with Carlo Ancelotti opting to deploy a two-man frontline.

With a contract until 2029, it appears likely that Jude will spend a number of years in Madrid, rather than a switch to the Premier League being entertained.

As it stands, Jude is the only English player in Real's first-team squad, yet it appears that consideration will be given to adding more than just a compatriot to the senior ranks in the future.

According to El Nacional, Real have started to take an interest in the development of Jude's younger brother Jobe.

Like Jude, Jobe began his career at their boyhood club Birmingham City, making a total of six starts and 20 substitute outings before he was 18 years of age.

In the summer, Sunderland made the decision to spend an initial £1.5m on Jobe, and he has since established himself as a key player for the Championship side.

Two goals and one assist have come from 11 league starts for the North East outfit, and Jobe is now a part of the England Under-19s setup.

The report claims that Real president Florentino Perez asked scouts to attend the fixture against Montenegro last week to take a look at the teenager.

Chief scout Juni Calafat is said to have been in attendance and consideration is seemingly being given to a future bid being made for the prospect.

Sunderland allegedly have Jobe tied to a contract at the Stadium of Light until 2027, keeping them in a strong position to demand their valuation should an offer be presented to them.
